JOB TITLE: Data Specialist(s)
Responsibilities:
A person in this entry-level position assists project managers by performing the following tasks: Create, update, and query databases and tables; Setup of online reporting system used to report marketing research results to clients; Perform quality checks of online reporting system;
Program and generate cross tabs; Program questionnaire scripts using web survey software or CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) System; Run tests of significance; Program questionnaire scripts in CATI (Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing) Systesn, Internet Interviewing System, and Interactive Voice Response System; Prepare charts and graphs for reports and presentations; Check data accuracy and integrity; Proofread reports; and, Edit and code respondents' open-ended responses.
A successful candidate will have demonstrated an interest in marketing research as well as information systems analysis and development through academic courses and/or previous work experience, in particular statistics and management information systems courses. The position requires a fast-learning, detail-oriented person capable of spotting data inaccuracies and inconsistencies- The candidate must have strong writing and verbal communication skills, be analytical, enthusiastic, and work well in a team atmosphere. Word processing, spreadsheet, database experience are essential and required.
Relational database theory; and, Structured query language (SQL).
SQL server; Fox Pro; Paradox; HTML; ASP; and, Visual Basic or VB script.
Basic Statistics; Database Management Systems; and, Visual Basic.
